....this product is so painfully slow, that I'm not even entirely sure if I have a malfunctioning one, or this is just simply how slow the product is.

Ignoring 3rd party apps, even clicking on Notes takes a solid 5 seconds or more to open, which on a hi-tech device like this feels like an eternity. My kindle is as fast as my phone. This feels like I'm using a Palm Pilot for everything. I still like it, but the videos are misleading, again, unless mine is not functioning correctly.
